ABOUT ME
A.J. CICCOTELLI
Born in Bangkok Thailand but raised in Queens New York and now a resident of New Jersey, I have been creative since I could walk. Fell in love with cinema since I was a child after seeing Superman: The Movie. I enrolled as a theater major at Hillcrest High School in New York City and fell in love with the stage as a teenager as well.
Since graduating high school, I received a B.A. in theatre at SUNY Empire State College, an M.F.A. in playwriting at the Actors' Studio Drama School at The New School for Social Research, an M.A. in directing at Roosevelt University in Chicago and an M.F.A. in screenwriting at The David Lynch Graduate School of Cinematic Arts at Maharishi University in Fairfield, Iowa.
Today a filmmaker, a theater director, screenwriter, playwright, actor, educator and producer. My philosophy is art changes who we are by creating empathy for others, without it we can not possibly see how others live. I benefit by my creativity and it is my hope that sharing it with the world will help others too.
